Description
The Tapo T110 is a smart contact sensor that helps you monitor the open/closed status of doors, windows, cabinets, fridges, mailboxes or similar items in real time. It is part of the Tapo smart-home ecosystem and works via a hub (sold separately), using a low-power Sub-1 GHz wireless protocol for extended battery life and reliable signal, even over larger distance or through walls.
Installation is simple: you mount the sensor and its magnet part on the door/window (or other movable object) and frame, aligning them so they are close when closed (up to about 15 mm gap). A CR2032 coin cell powers the device, giving long life (≈ 1-2 years under typical usage) before needing replacement. The sensor supports instant push notifications to your phone when the status changes (e.g. door opens), and can be used as a trigger in Smart Actions — for example to turn lights on, send alerts, activate sirens, or coordinate with other Tapo devices such as cameras or plugs. The device is compact, has an indicator LED, and comes with adhesive mounts for easy setup.
